Cold harsh winds, high central heating temperatures and rain really play havoc with your hair. Then on top of that you throw on synthetic hats and scarves that cause static and rub again the hair cuticles.
Here are 5 top tips on looking after your hair if you love a winter accessory.

1. Before wearing a hat, always make sure hair is 100% dry, otherwise it will go frizzy and static.
2. Part hair in the opposite direction  then when you remove the hat you can flick the hair back into its usual direction and you’ll be left with your normal style...

3. Pull hair into a loose ponytail or braids. These look great under and control  frizz.
5. If it is frizzy or flyaway a lightweight oil will soon help!

Did you know that you should be able to stretch your hair a third of its length when it's wet , and it should spring back to the original length. If it doesn't spring back or even worse it snaps then it's time for a conditioning treatment.
